In 1960 Heidi Lihe Xu graduated with a medical degree (MD) from Beijing  Medical Institute in China.  Prior to her arrival in America in 1988 Heidi Lihe Xu practiced as a MD in ShenYang and Tinjing, China.

Heidi Lihe Xu is licensed as an acupuncturist with the State of Texas since 1996 (TX License #AC00208), the same year as she started her clinic.  Dr. Xu is also designated a Diplomat in Acupuncture by the NCCAOM (National Council for the Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine, 1994).

It is the knowledge of both Western and Eastern medicine that lends her a diversified background; however, it is her ability to bring together both medical realms in her treatment strategies that stimulates the patient’s own healing processes.  Moreover, Dr. Xu emphasizes that despite her knowledge and experience the unequivocal healing of her patients is through God; she is only His willing instrument.

Dr. Xu specializes in treatment of acute and chronic pain.  Many of her patients have previously tried traditional medicine and other acupuncture practitioners without good results.  Dr. Xu has used combinations of traditional needles, electric needle-free acupuncture, laser, "Tui-Na" and Chinese herbs to successfully relieve pain problems in her patients.
